Preventive Dentistry
On any list of oral healthcare we will always put prevention at the top. We Feel it is vital to educate our patients to have the skills and knowledge to prevent deterioration of their dentition prior to treatment, and to look after their newly restored teeth and gums as effectively as possible. This treatment is usually carried out by one of our hygienists.
Regular visits with a hygienist play a vital role in the prevention of tooth decay, gum disease and bad breath. Hygienists are also very important in motivating younger patients to adopt good habits early in life, which help prevent a lifetime of dental treatment.

Veneers
Veneers are very thin laminates or shells of tooth coloured material (which can be either be ceramic, porcelain or composite bonding material) that are 'cemented' to the front surface of teeth to improve their cosmetic appearance. Porcelain veneers can produce fantastic results by masking unattractive, rotated, misshapen or crowded teeth.

Smile Design
A smile makeover to one person could mean something completely different to
another person as it is a very personal choice.
For example some people want the perfect 'Hollywood smile makeover' with pearly white
porcelain veneers. Other people may just want a simple improvement such
as the replacement of silver amalgam fillings with tooth coloured composite fillings and whitening.
Whatever the reasons for your dissatisfaction with your smile there are many ways you can improve your smile using modern dental techniques.

Endodontics
Endodontics or 'root canal treatment' as it is more commonly known, is needed when the nerve or blood supply of the
tooth (the pulp) is infected through injury or decay. The aim of the treatment is to preserve the tooth by removing all traces of infection and
then filling it to prevent further infection.
Endodontic therapy is a highly successful procedure, which is usually carried out over one or two appointments. After
endodontic therapy the tooth continues to receive support from the surrounding tissues and may be expected to last as long as any other natural tooth.

Dentures
Tooth loss can occur for several reasons such as periodontal disease, decay or trauma. Dentures have
been used to replace missing teeth for many years. Alternative methods used to replace missing teeth include
dental implants and fixed bridges.
The loss of your teeth can have several negative effects on your self-confidence, your ability to chew food
and also your bite. Since your teeth provide structure and support to your cheeks, tooth loss can result in the
sagging of your cheeks and make you appear older that you are. It is essential that your missing teeth are replaced as soon as possible.
